Santos Vice President Odilio Rodrigues has urged Brazilian striker Neymar to join Barcelona according to Tutto Mercato Web .
The wonderkid has become one of the hottest properties in world football after a number of impressive performances for his club as well as the Brazilian national team.
That has prompted speculation regarding a potential move to the player with a host of top European clubs linked with Neymar’s signature.
The likes of PSG, Real Madrid, Bayern Munich and Manchester City are all thought to be ready to make mega bucks bids to Santos in the hope of securing the player’s services.
Reports in recent weeks have suggested that Neymar may have already signed a pre-contract agreement with Catalan giants Barcelona but they have been strongly denied by the player and his club.
Santos are keen to hold on to Neymar for as long as possible but know they are fighting a losing battle as the player is destined for a move to Europe.
The Brazilian side are hoping to keep the player on at least until next summer’s World Cup finals tournament.
But Rodrigues has offered some advice to Neymar for when the player does eventually decide to move by lavishing the praise on Barcelona. Rodrigues insisted the decision would remain with the player about his next destination. http://ow.ly/jSvqs
