MANCHESTER CITY AND CHELSEA TARGET NEYMAR HINTS HE COULD SOON LEAVE BRAZIL

MANCHESTER CITY and Chelsea have been boosted by hints from striking phenomenon Neymar that he could soon leave Brazil.
The 21-year-old is one of the hottest properties in the game, with a host of European clubs set to chase his signature this summer.
Despite it originally being thought the Santos starlet was likely to stay in Brazil until the World Cup next year, he has claimed he can leave the Sao Paulo club whenever he wants.
Reports in Spain have suggested Barcelona have already signed an agreement with Neymar for him to join them when he eventually moves to Europe.
But City technical director Txiki Beguiristain is said to have discovered the deal doesn’t give Barca exclusive rights to the player, when he met Neymar’s agent in London last month.
Chelsea are also likely to be keeping tabs on the Brazil international, with billionaire owner Roman Abramovich craving a superstar signing.
“If I feel that it’s time to leave, I’ll leave,” Neymar told Brazilian media after his latest match for Santos.
“If I feel it’s the right thing to do, why not? This is personal. I will make this decision, nobody else.”
Neymar also laughed off suggestions from Barca star Dani Alves that he was certain to join the Spanish league leaders.
“What if I say that [Lionel] Messi is coming to Santos?” he said.
“I thank Daniel for what he said, he is a good friend, but I’m happy at Santos right now.”
